Final Stretch! 8.5 more weeks!

Well I am almost 32 weeks! I am still feeling pretty good! My back and feet hurt most days, but other then that things are going great! I am going to the doctor every 2 weeks! I have meet 4 of the 8 doctors at the practice. We have taken a breastfeeding and newborn class. They were very helpful! We are also taking a 4 session childbirth preperation class. This week we will take a tour of the hospital!

I was planning on having 2 showers, one in Indy and one in Princeton. Unfortunatly this is a bad time of the year to plan anything! People were not able to come to the one in Indy so it was cancelled. I am having my shower this weekend in Princeton. I hope it is a good turn out. I think my school will have a shower for me on the last day of school.

We still have some work to do on the nursery. We need to paint the letters for her name and find some ribbon. We also need to get some more storage. I am sure her room will start filling up really fast now!

I think we found a peditrician. We meet one at our newborn class and he is here in Avon! That is great for us!!

So far things have been great! My shower invitations go out this week and I am excited about that! My showers are the 1st and 2nd weekend in December! I can't wait to see friends and family and get some great gifts for Tinley! I am not one who likes and wants tons of gifts, but these are for Tinley not me so I can't wait!! Her name is officially Tinley Sophia Woodruff! It is hard to believe that we have just about 13 more weeks until she will be here! Time really has flown by. I am super excited and starting to get nervous! I am worried about having enough money to pay for daycare and diapers and all of that stuff. But, I know that we will make it work. We will just have to change some things we do now. I am also worried about how it will affect Randy and I. I don't want us to forget about "us". It will be hard not having family here to babysit now and then so Randy and I can have an evening to ourself. Guess we will start going on dates in Evansville when we go home to visit! We signed up for some classes at the hospital where we will have Tinley. We are taking a newborn class, breastfeeding class, and childbirth preperation. They start in 2 weeks and last for 6 weeks. They are from 6-9PM on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. That will be tough, but we feel they are important. I am actually excited to meet other mommys and daddys to be! Maybe we can make some new friends!

Tinley Woodruff!

Well, we decided that our daughter will be named Tinley Woodruff. We are still thinking about the middle name, but possibly Sophia. We had it narrowed down to Addison or Tinley, but Addison just seemed to be too trendy right now. Tinley actually comes from our 1st date, 9 years ago. We saw the movie Summer Catch and the main character was named Tinley. We also stayed in Tinley Park outside of Chicago on our 1st vacation. So it will be a cute story to tell her one day when she asked how we picked out her name!

We also got the nursery put together! It is not finished but all the big things are done! We have the glider, crib, and dresser! It looks so cute! It is very girly! We are doing it in pink and butterflies! I can't wait to see it when it is all done! We also went to Babies R Us and Target and registered! That was fun! Even Randy seemed to have fun (after 3 hours at Babies R Us)! He is getting really excited about his future daughter. He likes to touch and feel my belly all the time! (This is something that I would NEVER let him do before...lol). I just can't wait for him to be able to feel his daughter moving around! He will love it!

It's a girl!!

Well the big day came and went! We had our ultrasound on 9/9/10. She was not squirming much and was not in the best location, but the u/s tech said girl! I won't lie, I am nervous it could turn out to be a boy but fingers crossed the tech was right!! I got a little sick while lying there. I guess it was from being on my back and looking over to the side. I got light headed and felt like I was about to pass out. I sat up and got a cold towel and it passed. Baby had a good heartbeat it was 146bpm.

We celebrated by doing some serious shopping! We got a couple outfits, a crib, dresser, bedding, and diaper bag! It was fun!! Randy even seemed to have fun. After about 2 hours at Babies R Us he was still smiling!

I have to admit I am excited the baby is a girl! Randy thought it was a girl the whole time and I started thinking it was a girl about a week before the u/s. I love pink and can't wait to buy more girlie stuff!!

Stressed and Frustrated!

School started back this week and I was pretty excited until I saw how many kids showed up for school. I have 12 kids in my class. Now, I am sure most teachers think that would be a dream but IPS will not let me keep a class that small. We had almost 100 kids not show up to school. We have 8 classes with less then 15 kids which means our school will have to loose teachers. I am 3rd from the bottom and we will probably loose 3 teachers. That means I will have to pack all my stuff back up (that I just unpacked 3 weeks ago) and move to a new school. I have no idea when I could get moved or where I could get moved too. I just really hope I get placed in the intermediate grades. I don't want to teach the babies. They are cute, but I really like the older kids. And I have no resources for the little ones. So here I am getting this class of 12 used to all my rules and procedures, only to know that they will have to be moved to another class and I will have to start all over with another group of kids. I am stressed and really upset about it.

Being back to school has also been hard on me physically. I have not worked for 10 weeks, now I am on my feet all day again. Being pregnant is hard when working! My whole body hurts and I am exhausted! I can hardly stay awake past 8:00. I am 15 weeks now! Just 4 more weeks and we will know if baby W is a boy or girl! I can't wait!

Please keep your fingers crossed things will work out for me in the next few weeks. I should not be this stressed and worried while pregnant!

Also, my sister had her baby! Little Ryley was born 8-14-10! He is so cute! Congrats to her!

Hello 2nd trimester!

I had my 2nd doctors appoitment today! It was short and sweet. I got weighed and I have gained 3 pounds. Not too bad I guess. I had cultures taken and listened to baby's heartbeat. It was a good 148bmp. I met a different doctor and she was nice. I am going to meet all 8 doctors in the practice that way I am not suprised when someone comes in to deliever the baby! Today I met Dr. Hinkle. (mental note for me to look back on...she had a broken arm). It is hard to believe I am 13 weeks! I go again August 27th, then I am going to go 2 weeks later for the ultrasound! Around Sept. 10th we should know what baby is!!!!! I can't wait!

How far along: 13 Weeks
Total weight gain: 3 pounds
Size of the baby: A peach- about 3 inches
Sex: Don't know yet
Maternity clothes: Nope- but I look for looser clothes
Sleep: waking up 2-3 times a night to pee, having trouble falling asleep. Got a new pillow though
Movement: too soon to feel, but I bet it is kicking up a storm
Food cravings: Lots...mac n cheese had been pretty popular lately!
Food aversions: cooking and handling meat bothers me, then I don't want to eat it!
Morning sickness: Getting better. have not gotten sick in over a week!
Symptoms: tired, hungry, and my boobies are sore! Starting to show a lil
Labor signs: Too soon.
Belly button in or out: In
What I miss: Sleeping through the night without having to pee. Running outside. Sweat tea (although I do have it every now and then)
What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the sex!
Milestones: Made it through the 1st trimester!!

12 weeks/ 3 months

I made it to the 12 week point! Only about 2 or 3 pounds heavier! My tummy is starting to poke out a little more and getting firmer! I have still had a couple instances when I have gotten sick so hopefully that will end soon! I am feeling like I have a little more energy, but that could change when school starts! I am getting excited about school starting and hoping I don't get moved!!! I have worked a couple days in my new classroom and am slowly getting it together! I think 3rd grade will be fun and I really want to stay where I am! So cross your fingers that I do not get moved to a different grade or school (due to low number of students).

I go to the doctor this Thursday so I will let everyone know how that goes!! I am excited to hear my little limes heartbeat! (It is about the size of a lime now)

In a Blog Slump

It has been a few days since I have posted, mainly because there is not much going on. I have been feeling ok. Still do not have much energy though. Randy is in Michigan running a 300 mile relay with 9 co-workers so I have been pretty bored. I am now 11 weeks and 1 day. Hard to believe it was 7 weeks ago when we found out! I think I have gained 2 pounds total. I go to the doctor again on the 29th! Maybe I will have something more exciting to share later!!

New Classroom....Again

My new classroom!
Looking from the front

Yesterday I loaded up my classroom stuff from Cold Spring and took it to my new school! Big thanks to the husband for the help! My new school has been totally renovated and looks really nice! It has air conditioning too!! Last year was rough with no air! It is also all one level so no more steps for me! Which will be even better with my expanding frame! My classroom is nice looking and is very bright! It has a projector and document reader so no more overheads and transparencies for me!! Thursday we will have a staff meeting and I will get to meet my new co-workers! This is the 1st year I have ever been able to really prepare my classroom! The last 2 summers I was still looking and praying for a job right now, so it is such a good feeling! I have now taught-K, 4, 5 and will be doing 3rd next year! I really hope I can stay where I am at for a while and teach the same grade!

As far as baby goes, I am doing well. Yesterday, after the move I started to feel sick. Next thing I know I am in the bathroom puking again. It is only the 4th time I actually got sick, but it is no fun! Poor Randy just sits there and asks if I need anything. He has been the perfect husband through all of this! I am so lucky to have him!

10 Weeks

Baby W is about the size of a kumquat— a little over an inch or so long, and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. Baby's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. If you could take a peek at baby , you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.

How far along: 10 Weeks

Total weight gain: maybe 1-2 pounds its hard to tell I always go up and down a little

Size of the baby: A prune- a little over an inch
Sex: Don't know yet
Maternity clothes: Nope- clothes fit fine still
Sleep: waking up 2-3 times a night to pee, but I sleep well
Movement: too soon to feel, but I bet it is kicking up a storm
Food cravings: Sweets. but, I craved that before! I have wanted pizza more
Food aversions: nothing really....meat made me a little sick for a couple days but I am over that
Morning sickness: Only gotten sick three times. I usually feel a little sick to my stomach in the late afternoons
Symptoms: tired, hungry, and my boobies are sore!
Labor signs: Too soon.

It is all very real now!

July 1st was the day I was waiting for! The first of many doctor visits! The first thing they did was the ultrasound! We saw our little bean right away! It was squirming around a lot. You could see the little flicker of the heartbeat then we were able to hear it. 165 BPM. WOW, my heart does not beat that fast when I am running a half marathon! It is weird to think I have 2 beating hearts inside of me! How cool is that?! We then talked to a nurse and doctor then I had to have blood work done. She had to prick both my arms, because one arm did not flow very well. I think that was the 1st time someone besides my dad had taken my blood. We got a ton of information and 4 baby pictures! It was a great experience. Although, I was a little surprised when the ultrasound was done not over the belly but somewhere else ( I think most of you know what I mean). No one gave me the heads up about that! haha

I asked Randy what he thought, and he just said that now it all is real to him! He can't wait to feel it start kicking! He said he almost teared up when he heard the heartbeat....awwwww. I love him!

The nurse told us that there are 8 doctors in the practice and any of them could deliver me. So I will meet each doctor over the next 7 months so no one is a stranger to me. I just hope I like them all! My next doctors appointment is July 29th.

Yesterday was just the first of many more great days!!!

8 Weeks and counting!

This is the big week! Finally going to the doctor this Thursday!! I am so excited! This last week was a little rough. I got sick on Monday and Wednesday. It hits me around lunch time. Monday I was still at work, luckily Wednesday I had made it home. I also have a bit of a head/sinus cold. I have had a sore throat, sneezing, and stuffy. I had a headache for about 3-4 days. That made it hard to even function. I am feeling a little better tomorrow. Now that I am done with summer school, I can get a little more rest. I am also going to start doing some organization. I need to clean out the closet in baby W's room. Now I just need to find a spot for my wedding dress! Randy has been doing an excellent job taking care of me and being helpful! I guess me getting mad at him once was all it took! :) I will post again on Thursday! I should have baby's 1st picture!!!!

Father's Day

Father's day is a special day to me. Since I was raised with just my dad it has always been special to me. The most important people in my life have always been men...my dad then Randy. Some people think I missed out growing up without a mother, but I would not change it for the world. I feel so blessed to have been raised by him. My dad may have been a little mean and overbearing at times, but he has good intentions. I look at the amazing life I have now, and I have to say that my dad helped make it. I am strong and independent. I graduated from college, moved out, started a career, got married, bought a house, and now am expecting a child! And I am just 26! Not too bad! Now my husband is going to be a dad. I know he is a little afraid right now, but he will be so good at it! I know he will. He is very loving and this baby will be lucky to have him as a daddy! I can not wait to see them together! It is funny...people say women always marry someone who is just like their dad. Well, some people may not think my dad and Randy are alike....but they are a little. They are both stubborn, they do not care what people think, they speak their minds (even when the should not), and they both love me more then anything in the world! So I am very lucky to have a great dad and great husband who will be a great dad soon enough!!

7 Weeks

We have officially know about our little one for 3 weeks now! It has gone by fast, so that is good! We shared the good news with Randy's family last weekend and they were all very excited! Just 2 more weeks and we can go to the doctor and see our little "bean"! I can not wait! So far I have not experienced any morning sickness, but I have been feeling a little sick to my stomach the last couple mornings. Hopefully I can be a lucky one. The fatigue has really kicked in hard. I fall asleep just out of the blue. If I sit down on the couch forget it...I am out! I am just lucky not to be teaching full time right now! Other then that I feel pretty good. Of course I have not gained any weight, but I do feel bloated all the time. I can no longer suck in to make my stomach look flat...oh well! Randy has been very helpful with doing the dishes and cleaning the litter box (which I know he hates). He will do pretty much whatever I ask! He is such a good husband! This weekend is father's day and even though we are technically not parents yet, I still bought him a card!

5 weeks and 6 days

Yesterday was one of the 1st days I have not felt good since finding out I was going to be a mommy. I had cramps on and off all day. Not really bad, but I never get them so it is a pain no less. I did not want to move. But, I was good and went to the gym anyway! Of course having cramps made me a little nervous, but from what I read online it is probably just my uterus stretching and starting to grow....which is a good thing!! I am almost to the 6 week mark! I hear this is when morning sickness could kick in. Hopefully I will be a lucky one! Time will tell! I got a card in the mail from my friend Emily, it was a "Congratulations Parents to Be" card! She is one of my best friends who I told! She just had her little guy 3 months ago, so I had to tell her! That totally made my day!! Just 20 more days until I go to the doctor and get the 1st picture of my little baby! I can't wait!!!

Week 5

Well, I guess I am 5 weeks pregnant now! Just 35 more to go....haha! I am still feeling pretty good. I am tired and hungry all the time and peeing every hour but that is about it!! Our little baby is about the size of a seasme seed! Hard to believe it will have a little heartbeat soon! My emotions are getting a little crazy. I have started crying over songs in the car or things I have read. I got upset at Randy last night too. (I need him to talk more and tell me his feelings. haha....this is Randy we are talking about. Getting him to talk is like getting me to stop talking! Almost impossible!) I have decided it is just not fair...I am already bonding with this baby and he has no idea what to even think. I don't think it will be real to him until he sees it on an ultrasound. Just 25 more days until we get to go to the doctor! Here is my 1st month picture! It is not a baby bump...that is just a mexican food and cookies bump!! :)

Settling In

Well, it has been 3 days since I found out about our little bundle of joy! We have told our parents and my sister and 1 close friend! They are all super excited! We went to Chicago for the weekend to celebrate our aniversary! We had a great time! We went out with some friends last night and thankfully none of them seemed to concerend that I was not drinking. I have already read "Belly Laughs" by Jenny Mcarthy! Great book-she really holds nothing back! All I can think about is this baby! The month of June will be so long! I am ready to get to the doctor and see my little seedling!

We are having a baby!

I want to shout it to the world that I am going to be a mommy!!! No one knows I have this blog yet, so I am going to put it on here! I will make this blog public to my friends and family after my 1st doctor appt. After 10 months of trying it finally happened! I had a dream last night that I took the test and it was positive so I woke up at 6AM and had to pee so I took a test! Sure enough it said PREGNANT!!! After seeing it say not pregnant so many times I was so surprised. I went downstairs to show Randy and he just grabbed me and hugged me! He got a little emotional too! I have already taken 2 tests this morning! I am so happy right now! It is such great timing since we just had our 2 year anniversary Wednesday! I called my OBGYN and made my 1st doctors appt. It is for July 1st and I should be about 8.5 weeks along! I can not wait! I looked online and my due date should be about February 4th! Randy and I are going to be mommy and daddy! I have never felt so much joy!!!!
