It is all very real now!

July 1st was the day I was waiting for! The first of many doctor visits! The first thing they did was the ultrasound! We saw our little bean right away! It was squirming around a lot. You could see the little flicker of the heartbeat then we were able to hear it. 165 BPM. WOW, my heart does not beat that fast when I am running a half marathon! It is weird to think I have 2 beating hearts inside of me! How cool is that?! We then talked to a nurse and doctor then I had to have blood work done. She had to prick both my arms, because one arm did not flow very well. I think that was the 1st time someone besides my dad had taken my blood. We got a ton of information and 4 baby pictures! It was a great experience. Although, I was a little surprised when the ultrasound was done not over the belly but somewhere else ( I think most of you know what I mean). No one gave me the heads up about that! haha

I asked Randy what he thought, and he just said that now it all is real to him! He can't wait to feel it start kicking! He said he almost teared up when he heard the heartbeat....awwwww. I love him!

The nurse told us that there are 8 doctors in the practice and any of them could deliver me. So I will meet each doctor over the next 7 months so no one is a stranger to me. I just hope I like them all! My next doctors appointment is July 29th.

Yesterday was just the first of many more great days!!!

  1. I am so happy for you. Enjoy your time being pregnant. I sure did, but the end result is the best. You are due the day after I had my little one, though my due date was Feb. 11th. You timed it perfect I loved being off during the summer. That way when you go back to work in the fall you should pretty much be past the stage when you are super tired all the time. One thing i found that worked good for when i didnt feel good was suckers. I caried a baggie of them in my purse. I look foward to reading your blog stop by mine when you get a chance.

That made me tear up!! I'll never forget Marcus' face when the doctor circled his lil "Peanuts" (that is what Kaleb calls his penis)! <3
