Father's Day

Father's day is a special day to me. Since I was raised with just my dad it has always been special to me. The most important people in my life have always been men...my dad then Randy. Some people think I missed out growing up without a mother, but I would not change it for the world. I feel so blessed to have been raised by him. My dad may have been a little mean and overbearing at times, but he has good intentions. I look at the amazing life I have now, and I have to say that my dad helped make it. I am strong and independent. I graduated from college, moved out, started a career, got married, bought a house, and now am expecting a child! And I am just 26! Not too bad! Now my husband is going to be a dad. I know he is a little afraid right now, but he will be so good at it! I know he will. He is very loving and this baby will be lucky to have him as a daddy! I can not wait to see them together! It is funny...people say women always marry someone who is just like their dad. Well, some people may not think my dad and Randy are alike....but they are a little. They are both stubborn, they do not care what people think, they speak their minds (even when the should not), and they both love me more then anything in the world! So I am very lucky to have a great dad and great husband who will be a great dad soon enough!!

  1. you know my reservations with your dad......But people can change- and im glad he was there for you growing up- you wouldnt be you if things were different and i kinda like who you are ;P i always say im so glad that you have the parental figures(including the in-laws)in your life to rely on and be there for you in your life- because as we all now just because parents are close indistance doesnt always mean they are close in our life-

and yes Randy is going to be an awesome pappa! hes already a great uncle- i dont know anyone else whod play 20 ?s with a 7yr old for 4 hrs in the back seat of the car- especially when she kept out smarting us! LOL
